Continental, Webvan Alliances Lift (Nasdaq: ASFD) picked up1/16 to 2 1/16 Friday after the company, which sells luxury and upscaleproducts through its Web site, announced an agreement with ContinentalAirlines and an extended promotion with delivery e-tailer Webvan (Nasdaq: WBVN).

The Continental alliance is a marketing partnership that gives members ofthe airline’s OnePass program the chance to earn miles for spending money onAshford goods through a joint Web site accessible through Continental’sOnePass home page. The two companies will promote the arrangement throughthe site, as well as through newsletters and direct mail.

Purchases totaling US$2,000 atAshford will give a OnePass member enough miles for a free domestic flighton Continental, said chief executive officer Kenny Kurtzman.
