Goes Broadband With Intertainer

Online apparel retailer (Nasdaq: IBUY) has signed a broadband content syndication agreement with Intertainer Inc., an interactive network that provides entertainment-on-demand to both cable and telecommunications companies.’s content will appear on Intertainer’s service when it launches to consumer audiences in the fall. will be featured alongside sitcoms and children’s shows, as well as on Intertainer’s shopping channels. The companies will share revenue from sales of all merchandise featured on the new service.

Intertainer’s strategic partners include NBC, Comcast, Warner Brothers, U.S. West, Sony and Intel. The company plans to offer access to hours of movies, music, television and shopping through computers or televisions using high-speed data connections. Intertainer also has partnerships with Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems,Veon and Concurrent Computer Corp.

Additionally, Intertainer’s services will soon be available on airplanes. Just two weeks ago, the company announced that it has licensed its technology to Sextant In-Flight Systems, which develops in-flight entertainment systems for airlines.
