CRM Report: Art Technology Group Paints Rosy Q1 Picture

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Art Technology Group (ATG) (Nasdaq: ARTG), a provider of CRM and e-commerce products and services, said today that revenues rose to $21.6 million in the first quarter, almost 400 percent over the corresponding quarter in 1999.

The company booked a net loss of $600,000 — significantly less than the $9.5 million it lost in the first quarter of 1999 — as it signed nearly 60 new customers. ATG said that Forbes, Inc. and Marsmusic.com, have joined its roster, which has grown to over 300 companies.

The company also said that international sales accounted for over 13 percent of income — due to a strong showing from sales offices that opened just three quarters ago — and have expanded to Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Sweden.
