President Donald Trump has signed an executive order aimed at boosting artificial intelligence R&D in the U.S. The order sets up the American AI Initiative, which instructs federal agencies to move projects involving artificial intelligence to the top of their priority lists. No funding is proposed in the order, but the initiative directs federal agencies to focus on five areas: prioritization, making resources available, creation of standards, establishment of fellowships and apprenticeships, and collaboration with American values in mind.
AI, more rubbish they want us to believe, like flying cars or self driving cars. Algorythms, nothing more, a lot less
Very nice article that circles around a great decision: "Giving Artificial Intelligence research a Boost in the US". I liked the Idea of having the IEEE come up with standards that most industries should follow.
