Shares of online women’s network Women.com (Nasdaq: WOMN) remained strong on Monday, one day after the company went public at $10 a share. Shares of Women.com gained nearly 9.5 percent on Tuesday, rising 1-3/4 to 20-1/4. This is a pretty strong two-day performance, given the fact that many Internet stocks were furiously sold off on Friday and Monday.
In fact, top women’s network iVillage (Nasdaq: IVIL) fell 1-5/16 to 29-1/8 on Monday despite announcing alliances with both GE Appliances and HomePortfolio.com.
