MP3.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: MPPP) rose 1 5/8 to close at 11 1/4 Thursday after the Internet music provider announced a contract with Synge.com, a Web site aimed at 18 to 34 year-olds.
The San Diego, California-based MP3 will be the exclusive music service provider to Synge, which has also licensed MP3’s Application Programming Interface (API).
MP3 said the partnership “further extends” its strategy of offering consumers personalized music services.
