Net Perceptions, Inc. (Nasdaq: NETP) lost more than half its value Friday, plunging 7 25/32 to 4 23/32, after the e-commerce software company said it expects a loss for the third quarter.
Revenue for the quarter will be between $6 million and $9 million, and the loss before items will be between 22 and 32 cents per share, the company said. In the second quarter, revenue was $12.4 million, and the loss before items was 15 cents per share.
“We are committed to aggressively addressing the new realities of the marketplace in order to get our business plan back on track,” said president and chief executive officer Steven Snyder.
