Stock Watch: Microsoft Deal Boosts Worldwide Entertainment

Worldwide Entertainment & Sports Corp. (Nasdaq: WWES) rose 5/64 to 1 1/64 Tuesday after the company said its Inc. unit will be featured on Microsoft’s Broadband Guide.

“Our mission is to expand our broadband media content to sports fans around the world,” said President Gary Randall. “Millions of these sports fans are flocking to the Internet with increasing connection speeds, and the potential to support them now goes beyond static, and real-time text, based Web pages.”

Worldwide Entertainment & Sports provides management, marketing and commercial endorsement agency services to sports organizations. It expanded its reach to the Internet in February through the acquisition of and the launch of its Web site.
