If Tuesday was any indication, there’s a lot of money to go around in e-commerce stocks, even ones most people may not have heard of. Many of Tuesday’s biggest gainers were e-commerce companies that didn’t announce any news. It just seems like the market is starting to pay more attention to emerging players.
For example, online mortgage company E-Loan (Nasdaq: EELN) climbed 16-3/16 to 63 on Tuesday, while online fashion retailer Fashionmall.com (Nasdaq: FASH) rose 2-1/4 to 10-1/2.
Like Digital Island, E-Loan has seen a nice climb since going public last Wednesday. Shares of E-Loan went public at $14 and closed their first day of trading at 37.
