Stock Watch: IPO Market Keeps On Chugging

Internet IPOs should stay hot this week, with a variety of e-commerce-related companies going public. Not surprisingly, offerings from infrastructure companies are expected to be among this week’s best performers.

The IPOs to watch include Metasolv Software, which provides order-management solutions for telecommunications companies, iManage, which develops e-business content management solutions; CacheFlow, which makes appliances that helps companies speed up content delivery; Retek, which creates business-to-business software; and online broker Web Street Securities.

The most intriguing offering, however, may be from Agilent Technologies, a spinoff of Hewlett-Packard that develops electronic testing equipment for technology companies, healthcare providers, and others. In addition to its affiliation with Hewlett-Packard, Agilent should benefit from its strong earnings and the top-notch underwriting team of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Goldman Sachs.
