SmarterKids.com (Nasdaq: SKDS) gained 1/2 to 2 Tuesday after the online education store said it was picked as the favorite toy site in Forbes.com’s “Best of the Web” roundup. The company also introduced an online test-preparation center for its Web site.
SmarterKids said its TestPrep Center provides information about standardized testing in all 50 states, including test dates and subjects, as well as tips on how to prepare for the tests. Parents can also enter their children’s test scores to get personalized recommendations about products to help improve those scores.
SmarterKids, based in Needham, Massachusetts, sells educational toys, games, books, software, music and videos, and provides online educational resources and tutoring services.
