Organic, Inc. (Nasdaq: ORGC) rose 1 15/64 to 13 1/4 after the company said it won a contract to provide Federated Department Stores’ Web sites with a range of e-commerce services.
The San Francisco, California-based Organic said it will provide Web site design, engineering, strategy, customer service and fulfillment services to Macys.com and Bloomingdales.com.
“Together, these services will help the department store retailer build seamless `browser-to-doorstep’ customer experiences for its brands,” Organic said. Macy’s.com will be redeveloped following a study of customer perceptions of the site, and the Bloomingdale’s site will be retooled to reflect “the shopping experience” of the company’s flagship store in Manhattan, the company said.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity to further develop the resources necessary for our e-commerce businesses to exceed customer expectations in all aspects of the online experience,” said Federated Vice Chairman Ronald W. Tysoe.
