Stock Watch: Doubleclick Climbs After RealNetworks Deal

Shares of online advertising company Doubleclick (Nasdaq: DCLK) gained more than five percent on Monday, climbing 8-7/8 to 178-1/4 on the news that the company is teaming up with RealNetworks (Nasdaq: RNWK) on advertising solutions for streaming media. The two companies are working together to develop services that make it more efficient for Internet broadcasters to provide target advertisements.

In addition to Monday’s news, there have been rumors circulating about the possibility of Doubleclick splitting its stock. Some investors are apparently counting on a stock split boosting the price of the company’s stock.
