Stock Watch: AOL Agreement Lifts pcOrder

pcOrder.com Inc. (Nasdaq: PCOR) rose 3/32 to 5 27/32 Tuesday after the company said it licensed its business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce technology to America Online Inc. (NYSE: AOL).

pcOrder said it will provide information on computer software, computer products and consumer electronics for AOL to use on its Shop@AOL online shopping sites. pcOrder’s ContentSource provides detailed information about the products available, as well as graphic images of products.

Christina Jones, president and chief operating officer of the Austin, Texas-based pcOrder, said AOL’s choice of the company “demonstrates that pcOrder helps companies to deliver to their customers the necessary information required to make an online purchase.”
