IDG World Expo expects more than 100 e-commerce exhibitors and more than 10,000 attendees at the Internet Commerce Expo (ICe) in Boston, Masachusetts. The conference sessions run from March 22-25 at the World Trade Center in Boston, with the tradeshow exhibits open from March 23-25.
ICe is targeted at both business and IT professionals, and focuses on how traditional businesses can capitalize on e-commerce opportunities. Topics will include benefits of conducting business on the Internet, as well as hardware and software solutions for conducting high-volume e-commerce. Other topics include network and application management tools; e-mail management systems for direct online marketing; security features and various other tools that enable businesses to interact one-on-one with their online customers. Gingrich Headlines on Tuesday This year’s keynote speakers include Newt Gingrich, who served as Speaker of the U.S. House through 1998; Nicholas Negroponte, who founded and currently serves as director of MIT’s Media Laboratory; and, Tim Berners-Lee, who is credited with inventing the Internet.
