Ticketmaster Online – CitySearch Inc. (Nasdaq: TMCS) seems to be a popular stock these days. USA Networks (Nasdaq: USAI) owns controlling interest of the ticket-selling giant, but do you know who else has a stake in Ticketmaster?
Well, last Tuesday, Cable TV company Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq:CMCSA) disclosed that it owns 0.7 percent of Ticketmaster’s Class A shares, which can be converted into 5.3 percent of Class B shares. A day later, American Express revealed that it owns 14 percent of Ticketmaster’s Class B shares. And on Friday, Steven Spielberg said he owns 5.8 percent of the company’s Class B shares.
With such a disparate group of notable investors, and USA Networks and Ticketmaster’s pending merger with Lycos (Nasdaq: LCOS), Ticketmaster is one of the most intriguing stocks to keep an eye on.
