Stock Watch: Cobalt Networks Leads Week Of IPOs

There might be another IPO this week that is as hot as that of Akamai. The IPO of Cobalt Networks, which develops network infrastructure devices known as server appliances, is expected to get off to a similar start when it goes public this week. There is obviously a lot of excitement surrounding Internet infrastructure companies right now, and Cobalt Networks is a highly regarded one. In addition to manufacturing hardware, Cobalt Networks develops software such as e-commerce security programs.

Other IPOs to watch this week include FreeMarkets, which creates customized business-to-business auctions, and online ticket seller Tickets.com.
