Ingram Micro Joins NetBuy.com

NetBuy and Ingram Micro have entered an agreement that will make Ingram’s inventory of products available for online purchase at NetBuy.com. This announcement once again reflects the industry trend of e-commerce alliances between companies that want to expand their online offerings.

NetBuy caters primarily to the business-to-business e-commerce market, providing an electronic supply chain to OEMs, contract manufacturers, and electronic manufacturing services whose real-time purchasing requirements typically include small order, shortage, and quick-turn manufacturing.

The addition of the Ingram Micro product lines brings Netbuy.com's aggregated online inventory to over $1.4 billion.

"For buyers interested in real-time procurement via the Internet, Ingram Micro's extensive line of technology products provides a perfect complement to NetBuy's vast inventory of electronic components," said Jim Wittry, CEO of NetBuy.

He went on to say, "Especially with the addition of Ingram Micro's line of over 190,000 technology products, NetBuy's $1.4 billion online inventory offers a new dimension of one-stop procurement for the widest range of parts, equipment, and other key manufacturing-related items."
