Stock Watch: Buy.com Gains as NEC Products Join Lineup

Buy.com (Nasdaq: BUYX) rose 15/32 to 3 9/32 Tuesday after the online superstore said NEC desktop, notebook and handheld computers are now available on its site. Some NEC accessories and warranty options will also be available through Buy.com, the companies said.

"Our relationship with Buy.com underscores NEC Computers' ongoing commitment to make our customers' purchasing experiences as easy and convenient as possible," said Michelle Mercuri, director of channel sales at NEC.

Buy.com, headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, sells 950,000 items, including electronics, books and sporting goods. The company claims nearly 3 million customers.
