Shares of iTurf (Nasdaq: ITURF), a network of sites that cater to Generation Y (10- to 24-year-olds), are barely moving in early trading today. This is good news, because the stock isn't giving back the tremendous gains it recorded on Friday, when it went public. iTurf stock nearly tripled on Friday, closing up 36 7/16 to 57-7/16.
It's rather surprising that there isn't some sort of sell-off early today, but this may just mean that stock is one of the stronger IPOs of the year. Shares of iTurf were up 1-1/6 in early trading today, while shares of online clothing retailer Delia's, which owns iTurf, were up 2 to 33-3/4.
