E-business software maker Selectica, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLTC) nearly quadrupled in value Friday, one day after the San Jose, California company went public at $30 a share. The stock climbed 111 15/64 to close at 141 15/64.

Selectica says its ACE software is a "comprehensive Internet selling system" that helps such companies as Dell Computer Corp., 3Com Corp. and Cisco Systems sell products and services on the Web.
