Stock Watch: Broadvision Busts Out After Wal-Mart News

Shares of e-commerce software and solutions company Broadvision (Nasdaq: BVSN) More about BroadVision (Nasdaq: BVSN) soared 6.3 percent on Monday, climbing 10-13/16 to an all-time closing high of 182-13/16. The company announced that Wal-Mart has selected BroadVision's'sapplications to power the relaunch of its e-commerce site. In addition, BroadVision's applications will be used to build the e-commerce site of Sam's Club.

This is significant news for Broadvision, an Internet company that is actually profitable, because Wal-Mart is arguably the company's most high-profile customer. Broadvision's other customers include American Airlines, Fingerhut, Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) More about Hewlett-Packard, Home Depot, Intuit, Motorola (NYSE: MOT) More about Motorola, Nortel (NYSE: NT) More about Nortel Networks Networks and Xerox.

Broadvision stock has been on a tremendous run this year. Shares climbed more than 1,500 percent from its 52-week low of 12-1/8. This is just more proof that the e-commerce infrastructure is a sizzling sector right now.
