Job recruiting site CollegeHire.com announced today that it will mount a nationwide campaign to recruit college students for Amazon.com. CollegeHire's goal is to deliver young, talented information technology graduates to the online bookseller.

"We are eager to meet with college talent that shares our vision of customer service and has a passion for e-commerce," said Rebecca Nelson, director of college recruiting for Amazon.com. "CollegeHire allows us to efficiently reach out to the nation's top talent and, based on our past experience with them, we know they are going to identify graduates who are ready to be part of the new economy at Amazon.com."

This new agreement expands CollegeHire's relationship with Amazon.com. CollegeHire had previously recruited for Amazon.com on an as-needed basis. Specific terms of the new agreement were not released.

"As the number of technology jobs continues to far outpace the number of technology graduates, the industry's most respected companies such as Amazon are looking for every edge to reach students," said Jeff Daniel, CEO of CollegeHire.

CollegeHire Targets Major Universities

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for computer scientists, computer engineers and systems analysts will grow at a rate of 36 percent each year over the next decade, making information technology one of the fastest growing markets.

CollegeHire recruits students from leading technology universities such as MIT, Harvard, Stanford, the University of California at Berkeley, Georgia Tech, the University of Michigan and the University of Washington. CollegeHire relies on professional recruiters based on each campus, and the company pre-screens students for its clients. In addition, CollegeHire offers an online community for both students and companies, with up-to-the-minute access to recruiting information and services. CollegeHire's services are free for students, with the company earning fees whenever students are hired.
