Steve Jobs Conquers the Decade - Now What? November 07, 2009
Now that Fortune has named Apple CEO Steve Jobs CEO of the decade, where will he go from here? Throughout his career, Jobs has typically led the market, bringing out products that consumers didn't know they wanted until they saw them -- products like the iPhone and iPod touch, for instance. He will probably continue doing so, but in the future he may delegate more responsibilities.

Song Sift Solves a Problem for Picky Podsters October 29, 2009
It's been about a decade since the first practical MP3 players started popping up, and 10 years is plenty of time to collect a positively bloated library of digital music. Perhaps you got in at the ground floor with Napster in '99 and loaded up on free tunes before the music industry decided to do something about it. Maybe you remain a proud pirate, Bay or no Bay.

Apple May Be Tuning In on a Big Opportunity October 16, 2009
Ever since Apple announced its latest iPod nano with a built-in FM radio with live pause and iTunes tagging in September, I've been wondering how long it would take to bring the same feature to the iPhone and iPod touch. In fact, I was kind of surprised it wasn't in the new iPod touch, but as the latest rumor suggests, that's not so surprising after all.

Charging Station Smackdown: Powermat vs. Duracell October 08, 2009
It's a pain to keep track of the chargers that go with cellphones, media players and other small electronics. New Nano Rocks, Zune Learns a Few Good Steps September 20, 2009
Back in 2004, when I got my first MP3 player, I never cared that it lacked a camera, Web browser and crystal-clear video playback -- features that are now common on digital media devices. Apple's latest iPod nano and Microsoft's freshest Zune, both released within the past week, offer these kinds of perks and plenty more.

Apple Homes In on the iPod's Next Conquests September 11, 2009
Apple has made a tradition out of unveiling new iPods every fall. This time around, though, the biggest part of the presentation wasn't the new hardware or software, but rather the person running the show. Without Buttons, iPod Touch Can't Touch DS or PSP September 11, 2009
Apple may be the best technology marketing company on the planet, if not the best personal technology manufacturer to date. However, when the company tries to say that the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP aren't cool, I'm just left scratching my head. Let's back up. What's the context here?

Ed Zitron's laptop caught on fire in 2006; his apartment could have easily burned if he hadn't been at home. Infuriated, the account rep for RLM Public Relations called customer service -- and his fury quickly turned into unmitigated outrage. "The customer service rep could not have been more uninterested or blasé about the whole thing. I practically had to force her to give me an apology," he told MacNewsWorld.

The Apple-focused blogosphere is still chugging along, even as the summer sun starts pounding down.
