IT Needs Its Darth Vaders


The ideal of a "level playing field" seems to be the goal of every David-vs.-Goliath struggle in IT, and the economy now has many companies favoring compromise and cooperation with their bitter rivals over protracted legal wars. Just look at Intel and AMD. However, victory -- the actual start of a movement toward fair competition -- is not the outcome that everyone was counting upon.
