A BIG Thumbs down Microsoft for this terrible release of Windows Me. I have a power-packed
HP Pavilion 9900 Series computer which I just purchased and I'm gettting on my knees tomorrow
to BEG HP to replace the operating system with either Windows 98 or 2000. I think that an
8-10 minute boot up is a "bit" under Microsoft's current ability to get a system to boot up, and with
the continual crashes it so joyously puts you through, it's impossible to accomplish much work
with this OS on your system. I spent an hour and ten minutes of my morning today, just waiting for
my computer to reboot! So much for grand leaps in technology. Wondering who's idea it was to
release this in the first place! If I had only known ahead of time....wish me luck. At least I know
the HP is solid. We had to replace the first edition of Windows 98 with Win95 when it was in its
initial stages as well for practically the same reasons on a brand new computer about 6 years ago.
You'd have thought we learned our lesson the first time!!
