From the point of view of an adult website owner -
http://www.baredomains.com. I find it kind of
exciting to just own this site. We have a mix of
free and paid subscriptions.
We have no pop-ups and engage in no other
activity, other than providing our customers
with what they want.
As an owner, we too are privately held, and never
even considered public funding. Why? There's
more to share, with the public, than to keep it
all for yourself.
But the other end of it is, that most
girls/ladies would rather deal with an owner on
a personal level, rather than be treated as a
corporate number. Remembering that these ladies
are very smart, very independantly minded, and
to treat them otherwise, is detrimental to our
business relationship.
The bottom line isn't the most important factor
in business, period - it's your personnel. If
they're not happy; you're not making any money.
So dig, long hard and well. Then bury yourself
in the hole, if you go any other way in this
business, other than private.

Concerning the use of Credit Cards as being an unsuitable means for low charges, perhaps you should consider emetal alternatives such as e-gold, osgold, evocash or even PayPal, all of which are very secure and private. I can supply you with the contact information or will discuss the potential for their use further.
