E-Commerce Times Talkback

See Full StoryMost consumers, when faced with the task of
comparison shopping for a desired item, do not have
time to run all over town looking to save a few dollars.
Still, saving money is important to most consumers, and
that's where the Internet was supposed to fill the
gap. Where real-world shoppers feel a shortage of time
and energy, e-shoppers are supposed to get all of
their price checks and product searches completed
with a few clicks.

I shop for 100% of my electronics online, I just check out a http://www.pricegrabber.com, look who has it near a cheap price, and then head over to http://www.dealspree.com and save some more money by using the coupons they have. Like a few months ago I got a Handsping Deluxe for $110, where everywhere else it was $250. Comparison Shopping sites are only half of it!

I like to think I know what the Internet has to offer (6 years developing sites) but I have never come across a 'shopping bot'
I would suggest that the most likely reason for lack of use is 'lack of awareness'

I have to say I am someone who has viewed these comparison shopping sites as "too good to be true."
Should I be embarrassed, or have they just not marketed these sites effectively, or are they in fact too good to be true after all?

What kind of an article is this about comparison shopping sites?? It only listed mysimon.com and didn't even tell us names of other good ones. This must be poor reporting or lack of research on the part of the writer. It's annoying to spend time to read an article and not get the full info of the subject line!!!

Hello Barbara? Looks like this article was a viewpoint, expressing the writer's opinion that using comparison sites is a good idea based on his personal experience. It doesn't look like an attempt to compare all of the comparison sites to each other... although that would be an interesting article as well.
