E-commerce sites that promote a sense of community among visitors by soliciting feedback
and other content have a better chance at success, according to a new report by McKinsey
& Co. The study, which McKinsey prepared along with Jupiter Media Metrix, found that such
features as chat rooms, bulletin boards and product review pages "create substantial
value for both retail and content sites."

My company recently implemented an ERP that is (surprise, surprise) having a hard time gaining user acceptance and full usage.

I wonder if community features built into the ERP might help engender and encourage community.

Imagine being able to post a question on the specific ERP page you're stuck on and see others' questions and answers.

Flaming might happen, but questions will get answered by other users and superusers would emerge.
