See Full StoryPriceline seemed to be back on course, steering delicately
toward profitability for the first time. The recent news from
the Norwalk, Connecticut-based e-tailer was, for a change,
mostly good. The days of the class action suits and
massive layoffs and failed expansion ideas were
fading in the rearview mirror.
So what does the board of directors do? Toss the
driver out of the moving vehicle, of course.

Although Shulman saw Priceline through to today's gains, it is likely that the company wants to step up its efforts to reach profits in a way that requires new blood at the helm. Thank you Mr. Schulman, but it's now time for hyper-drive.
And for another thing, who was in charge when all the poor expansion decisions were being made?
