I say as long as a person has the money and wants to take a chance then that person should be able to do so. It has always been my opinion that the government has no place in telling people what substances that they can or cannot take. I say nobody should need a prescription EVER. I say anyone should be able to walk into any pharmacy ANYWHERE and ask for any drug, and as long as that person can pay for it, that person should get what they want. We don't need doctors anymore, we who wish to doctor ourselves should be able to do so, I believe that the constitution says that the right to life, liberty (foremost), and the pursuit of happiness (whatever that pursuit may be) since it did not say any restrictions of what happiness meant, well then that is up to the individual. I believe as long as a person is law abiding, has family values, goes to work every day (working himself to death, by the way) well then that person should be able to have any substance that he or she requests, and I say no and I repeat NO GOVERNMENT BASTARDS have the right to go against my own constitutional rights. MY RIGHT TO HAPPINESS and liberty.
As long as this IDIOTIC drug war goes on it will only cause more problems. The solution is SIMPLE, allow people to doctor themselves, as long as they hold a job and own a home they should be able to buy whatever they want. Go to hell ye naysayers.

Regardless of civil liberty questions, online drug sales from unaccountable sources is dangerous. You have no idea what's in the drugs. Fact: a large proportion of the drugs sold on the web are impure. Some are fake.

The issue of prescription drugs and doctors are 2 separate issues. I am of a mind that you should not need a prescription to buy drugs. This is how the medical industry forces people to go see their doctor every 3 months in order to obtain a prescription. This just raises the cost of medical care.
Granted Medical care from a doctor has its value. I wouldn't suggest to anyone that they just not see a doctor ever. This is an invitation for disaster.
It would be easy for pharmacies to report whatever you buy to the government. Doctors overprescribe medication all the time and most of the time nothing happens to them. Where is the control of that?

I read an article on pharmacies online that were keeping track of the type of medications you were using and then selling the information to third parties. In other words, if you were ordering Aids medications they could use that information against you.

Convenience often comes with a pricetag. How else do you explain a 6 pack of Miller costing $9.00 at 7-11?
When will people learn that unless you want your personal info shared with the whole world, keep it off the net.

Sorry, your comments about people not needing doctors anymore are so incredibly ignorant I am dumbfounded.
Doctors are not magicians, they are experts in their particular field of medicine. You go to them for their expertise, just like you let a pilot fly a plane because he/she is an expert.
Legalization of drugs should only go so far. The problem is that we may end up with more accidental death and dismemberment from knuckleheads who misquote the constitution in order to provide them with the ability to get high and drive.

Peaceful, I have to think that this first post was put there just to stimulate argument. Anyone who thinks that the consititution was written to allow anyone to say, or do just abut anything they choose is an imbecile. Further, this person sugests that somehow the laws should be different for homeowners? Now that makes sense. I think someone finally came out a pot smoking haze long enough to use their parents money to buy a house, and is now just a feeling a little proud of themselves. Also, the comment on working yourself to death.....whatever. That's such tired rhetoric.
